NDUGA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Monday, 2 September 2024, the 432 Task Forces, especially the Mbuwa Post led by First Lieutenant Fahrizal, carried out a Patrol by visiting and greeting residents in the Kogomaru Village, Mbuwa District.
Emphasizing the Soldiers' role, the Commander of the 432 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. This message was not just words but an immediate call to action. While carrying out the Patrol, the Soldiers initiated a unique form of Social Communication with Kogomaru residents they encountered along the route, a warmly received method that piqued the interest of the residents. The active participation and warm reception of the Kogomaru residents were integral to the success of this initiative.

While maintaining their focus on security, the Soldiers took the opportunity to communicate with the residents. The response from the Kogomaru residents was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their happiness at the Soldiers' presence. The joy and happiness of the Kogomaru residents were palpable, indicating the impact of the Task Forces' initiative. One resident, Mr. Murid Gwijangge, even said, "Thank you, Commander 432. God bless", a testament to the strong bond between the community and the Task Forces.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 432 Task Forces’ initiative to carry out a Patrol and Social Communication with Kogomaru residents. His words: "The 432 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive Social Communication with all residents in the Task Area to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the importance of such initiatives. It instills a sense of hope and optimism about their potential to positively impact the region's development, making the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated.
